Exciting results achieved so far in AAV-mediated gene therapy trial for Crigler Najjar syndrome by Prof. D'Antiga at the Congress of the European Association for the Study of the Liver. In particular, the treatment was well tolerated in the patients treated so far. The administration of the vector at the highest dose resulted in a significant reduction in unconjugated bilirubin levels, allowing the first treated patient to stop phototherapy. The study is still ongoing

Novembre 2019: Il primo paziente italiano affetto da sindrome di Crigler-Najjar di tipo I è stato sottoposto a trattamento di terapia genica presso l'Ospedale Papa Giovanni XXIII di Bergamo dall'equipe del Prof. Lorenzo D'Antiga nell'ambito del trial clinico CureCN.
November 2019: The first Italian patient with Crigler-Najjar type I syndrome underwent gene therapy treatment at the Papa Giovanni XXIII Hospital in Bergamo by the team of Prof. Lorenzo D'Antiga as part of the clinical trial CureCN.
